Great Sacandaga Lake Wood Chart Map

Originally called Sacandaga Reservoir, the Great Sacandaga Lake is about 29 miles long. In the local native language, Sacandaga means "land of the waving grass". The primary purpose of creating the reservoir was to control flooding on the Hudson River and the Sacandaga River.
