Painting Workshop with Bobbi Heath

Painting Workshop with Bobbi Heath

Do you have a folder full of images of beautiful places you've been that you'd love to paint? Or maybe even a cardboard box filled with photos from years ago? Gallery artist Bobbi Heath just told me this story:

"As I walked into our living room this morning, the sun was shining on a painting I did years ago of a beautiful island on the New England coast. I was reminded of the fun we had there with our friends when the kids were young; and of the natural beauty of the place, and how at home and at peace I felt surrounded by the beauty of the coast.

I learned a lot painting that picture. I wasn't very experienced at the time. I wanted to make the island like a jewel in the jewel box of the cove. But I didn't know how. (I do now). I think I painted the shore of the cove four times before I figured it out. I was a better painter when I was done."

You don't have to create a painting from your treasured photo the hard way, like Bobbi did for that painting. We're having a one day workshop  in the studio, where Bobbi will teach you how to do it with a simple process and road map that you can use again and again. You'll learn how to mix the colors you love and how to "see" the light pattern that makes your painting sing. We would love to have you join us, the details are below.

The workshop is for beginning and intermediate painters. Students may work in any two dimensional medium, the fundamentals are the same and the process is very similar. Bobbi will demonstrate in oil, acrylic, pastel, and water color, based on the student's preferences.
