Corey Nuffer is a writer, thinker, and explorer of the art and science of wine. Raised on a dairy farm in rural Minnesota, FFA member from 8th grade on, and studying biology, philosophy, and religion, Corey has a unique vista in both experience and science from which to understand the wine industry, especially as Vineyard Representative for Westport Rivers Vineyard and Winery for the past seven years. Along the way, she attended and hosted numerous glass tastings with the Riedel family, as well as participating in a food pairing seminar with Master Sommelier Randa Warren, while managing at a local country club. Moving to Chicago after being selected to work with New York Times bestselling author, Amy Krause Rosenthal, at NPR affiliate, WBEZ, Corey eventually landed as Contributing Editor of the Food and Drink section for a cultural and Latino-focused magazine, Gozamos, before ending up on the east coast. Corey took up the mantle of Wine Consultant in Residence at The Drawing Room in 2019 and hasn't looked back. She also helps lead the South Coast Almanac’s Walking Book Club, as well as works with Turtle Swamp Brewing up in Jamaica Plain.
